Rosalind, Bertie and Lucille

Tuesday February 11th, 2014, 1 year, 3 weeks and 2 days ago

Here are a few more portraits. The first is an ink drawing on a collage of vintage and found paper, and the other two are graphite pencil and watercolour. Deciding on their names is so tricky. I wait until I’m finished and then look into their eyes and think, “Hmm, what’s your name?” I hope I got them right!Rosalind

I’m really in love with your portraits. Was what attracted me to your site from the beginning. I love the way you combine at least two mediums within one drawing. You have a gift with hair.
I’m enjoying this show and tell!

Following your lead I looked into their eyes and came up with Vera, Albert and Camille. I think you got their names spot on! Vera and Rosalind are names from the same generation (1900-1920s), Albert is very much a Bertie! Does Lucille/Camille every go by Lucy/Camie?

Yes, you do have a way with hair! I am loving the print in both blouses, especially the color combo in Lucille’s.

Thanks for more “happy mail” in my inbox. Have a beautiful day, Karena!
